Inference is a newsletter. We collect your email address so we can send it to you, and we use a small number of well-known third-party services to do that and to understand basic site traffic. We don't sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers.
When you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide through our subscription form. Our email delivery is handled by Beehiiv, which stores your email address and basic engagement data (such as whether you opened or clicked an issue) so we can improve what we send.
When you visit theinference.tech, our hosting provider (Netlify) may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Inference:
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.
You can unsubscribe from Inference at any time using the link at the bottom of every issue, or by visiting Beehiiv directly. Unsubscribing removes you from future sends. If you'd like your data deleted entirely, contact us using the details on our Contact page and we'll process the request through Beehiiv.
Inference is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above. We don't expect that to happen often — this is a small, honest newsletter, not a sprawling platform.
